GA-MPHAHLELE COMMUNITY BENEFITS A ROAD INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECT.

Today, 18 September 2023, The MEC for Limpopo Department of Public Works, Roads and Infrastructure (LDPWRI), Mme Nkakareng Rakgoale, together with Roads Agency Limpopo (RAL) has handed over a contractor and an engineer for the implementation of an upgrading project of Roads D4090, D4093, D4094 and D4096 (Malemati Roads) at Maralaleng Community Hall, Ga-Mphahlele.

The construction project of the Malemati Roads will entail the upgrading from gravel to tar, of Roads D4090, D4093, D4094, and D4096. The total length of the entire road network under design is 28.29km which will be done in phases. Currently Roads Agency Limpopo will be implementing the 1st phase of 3km with a total budget of R40 million rand.

MEC Rakgoale has urged community stakeholders to cooperate with Roads Agency Limpopo for the smooth implementation of the project. She further highlighted that the contract makes provision for the employment of local labourers and the employment of SMMEs.
