LEPELLE-NKUMPI BACK TO SCHOOL CAMPAIGN 2017

Matriculants around Lepelle-Nkumpi Municipality started their academic year on a high note, after the Mayor of Lepelle-Nkumpi Cllr Nakedi Sibanda together with her Executive members of Council embarked on a Back to School Campaign on the first week for 2017 academic year.

The main aim of the campaign was to check annual matric results in order to monitor progress of schools in the area, motivate under performing schools, acknowledges best performing schools and encourages them to keep it up.

16 Days of Activism against Women and Children Abused Launched in Lepelle-Nkumpi

President Jacob Zuma has officially launched the 16 Day of Activism against Women and Children Abuse in Lebowakgomo Civic Centre. The 2016 event will be marked under the theme "Count Me In: Together Moving a Non-Violent South Africa Forward".

Speaking at the event, President Zuma said the theme urges all South Africans to fight this scourge against women and children. As part of the campaign, Government will also convene a series of National Dialogue Sessions on Violence against Women and Children across the country towards finding collective solutions to end the abuse in
