MAYOR APPRECIATE COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION IN THE 2024-2025 IDP AND BUDGET CONSULTATIO MEETINGS

The Mayor of Lepelle-Nkumpi Local Municipality, Cllr Dr Meriam Molala expresses deep gratitude to the community. She thanks the community members for actively being involved and giving inputs into the municipality's plans while expressing their needs and challenges.

The Integrated Development Plan (IDP) is a vital tool used in ensuring that the voices and opinions of community members are heard then considered in the planning and development of the municipality.

The engagements started with Traditional Leaders as part of the IDP consultion process plan. Their input in the IDP process is crucial as it also covers issues of social and cultural nature.

Acknowledging concerns community members raised, she stressed the importance of continuous stakeholder engagement.

As the process of consolidating community inputs nears its end, the Mayor thanked the communities who came in their numbers in Mafefe, Ga-Mphahlele, Zebediela, and Lebowakgomo clusters to partner with the municipality in making sure that we build a better municipality.

The final 2024/2025 IDP/Budget document will be approved on the 17 May 2024 at Civic Centre Hall.
